A yellow curb means no parking at any time.
A white curb indicates a Loading Zone.
It is to be used by vehicles making deliveries. Dates and times the Loading Zone is in effect are posted on the signs.
No parking is allowed.
A red curb means “Bus Zone” and is only to be used by buses.
No parking or stopping is allowed.
Unless otherwise marked, the maximum time allowed to park on the street in residential areas is 24 hours.
No closer than 6 meters (19.6 feet) on either side of the crosswalk.
Fire hydrants in Sidney have yellow paint on the curb or street to define the “No Parking” area.
Parking here will result in your vehicle being towed.
No closer than 1.2 meters (3.9 feet).
No closer than 2 meters (6.5 feet).
If your vehicle is blocking a driveway, it will be towed.
When parking in “Limited Time Parking” (eg. 2 hours, 3 hours, etc.) you must move your vehicle to a new block to park once your time is up. Moving your vehicle forward one or two spots or to the other side of the street is not sufficient and will result in a parking ticket.
If you park in a limited time parking spot, leave, and return back to the same block within the posted time limit for that area (e.g. 2 hours), you may be ticketed.
