Sidney Days – June 30

Each year, Sidney kicks off its Canada Day celebrations early with a “Sidney Days” launch on June 30th. This year’s evening event begins at 7:30 p.m. at Beacon Park and includes an opening ceremony, live music from Tune Raiders, and a fireworks show.

Canada Day – July 1

On July 1st, community groups come together to create hours of excitement, beginning with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Sidney Lions Club, as well as a Canada Day parade and Family Fun Fair organized by Peninsula Celebrations.

    The Sidney Lions host their famous hot pancake breakfast!

  • Canada Day Parade
    11:30 am
    Beacon Avenue

    Join Peninsula Celebrations Society for the Canada Day Parade on July 1 at 11:30 a.m. in downtown Sidney! The Parade route begins along Resthaven Drive and turns onto Beacon Avenue. It continues to run the length of Beacon Avenue, turning right onto Second Street and ending at Ocean Avenue.

  • Family Fun Fair
    12:30 – 4:00 pm
    Iroquois Park

    Peninsula Celebrations’ Family Fun Fair kicks off at Iroquois Park directly following the Canada Day Parade, promising a day filled with excitement and joy for all ages. Delight in a diverse range of activities tailored for the whole family to enjoy together. Whether it’s games, food, face painting, entertainment, or simply soaking in the festive atmosphere, there’s something for everyone at the Family Fun Fair.

  • Build A Boat Challenge
    12:00 – 5:00 pm
    Beacon Park

    The Slegg Building Materials’ Build a Boat Challenge is back! Join in at Beacon Park to witness community members construct their own boats and set sail. For more information, or to participate, email marketing@slegg.com.

    The boats will launch from Glass Beach at 5:00 pm.
