Town of Sidney appoints new Chief Administrative Officer

Sidney, BC – The Town of Sidney has appointed a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Liam Edwards, to lead the community’s municipal operations. Edwards is an experienced CAO, having led Bowen Island Municipality in this role for the past four years. Edwards also brings 14 years of experience working with local governments on behalf of the Province’s Ministry of Municipal Affairs, where he served as Executive Director of Infrastructure and Finance in the Local Government Division, and Deputy Inspector of Municipalities.
Edwards will begin his role with the Town of Sidney on September 3rd after relocating to the area with his family. His hiring follows the upcoming departure of current CAO Randy Humble, who will be retiring on June 28th following 24 years of service with the municipality.
