Council considers pedestrian safety and parking challenges along Allbay Road

In response to concerns about employee parking and pedestrian safety on Allbay Road, Council has directed staff to advance initiatives that better balance the need for marine industrial staff parking with pedestrian safety and neighbourhood character. Staff have been asked to bring forward a plan with costs and project timing to the 2025 budget process for Council approval that involves expanding the gravel shoulders on both sides of Allbay Road on municipally-owned land, creating parking on one side of the road and a pedestrian path on the other.
