People enjoying downtown Sidney, including many seasonal events, have a new public washroom option. The Town has opened a washroom facility along the Waterfront Walkway near Beacon Park.
Seaport Washroom includes five toilets: two standard and two accessible toilets, and one Changing Places washroom for people with complex disabilities. The Changing Places facility is nearing completion as the Town awaits the arrival of specialized equipment.
The washroom is open daily from 7am to 6pm, and later during special events.
This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Enabling Accessibility Fund and the Province of BC’s Growing Communities Fund.
